What a special day celebrating an incredibly special couple.

To know Kate & Garrett is to love Kate & Garrett. They have a way of making everyone around them feel genuinely seen and valued, and the incredible friends and family who surrounded them are a reflection of that. It was such an honor to document this day for them.

Their wedding also happened to fall on one of the rainiest days I’ve ever photographed in Nebraska. It started before their first look and barely let up all day—but not once did they let it dampen the celebration. They embraced every minute of it, laughing through the rain with their wedding party and creating some truly iconic umbrella photos. We caught one brief 20-minute break in the weather and sprinted to the golf course for a few portraits without umbrellas, but I think we all agree… the pouring rain photos ended up being everyone’s favorites.

The reception was the perfect ending to an unforgettable day. The Downtown Collective, Nebraska’s #1 wedding band, kicked things off with a strolling saxophonist during cocktail hour before the full band took over, keeping the dance floor packed all night long.
