Set against the rolling hills of The Acreage in Palmyra, Nebraska, this Fourth of July wedding brought together over 150 guests who traveled from across the Midwest, and even around the world, for an unforgettable weekend celebration. After a rain-soaked Italian-inspired welcome party at Glacial Till Vineyard the evening before, complete with wood-fired pizza, local wine, and live music accompanied by dramatic lightning outside, the couple was greeted with perfect blue skies for their wedding day.
The design embraced one of today’s most sought-after palettes, blending chartreuse with rich wine tones in a way that felt both romantic and whimsical. Petal Collective Omaha transformed the venue with lush greenery cascading from every chandelier, abundant arrangements of calla lilies, amaranthus, anthuriums, and seasonal blooms, while ceramic vessels overflowing with florals lined the grand staircase and ceremony space. Tables were layered with fruit, glowing crystal lamps, candles, floral china, gold flatware, and burgundy draping, creating an atmosphere that felt intimate and romantic.
The bride made an unforgettable fashion statement with not one, but two completely different looks. She began the morning in a modern satin corset gown, only to surprise everyone (including the groom, bridal party, and every guest) by walking down the aisle in a dramatic lace ball gown paired with a cathedral-length lace-edged veil. After dinner, she surprised everyone once again by changing back into her sleek satin two-piece gown for the dance floor.
Personal details were woven throughout every part of the celebration. Their beloved dog served as the evening’s “bark-tender,” greeting guests in a vest stocked with seltzers and beers. Lace-embroidered signage, custom swan motifs inspired by the couple, an oversized escort display, and personalized lawn games reflected the couple’s thoughtful attention to every detail.
One of the most memorable moments came immediately following the ceremony, when every guest showered the newlyweds with flower petals as they paused for a joyful dip halfway down the aisle. It was a celebration overflowing with laughter, emotion, and excitement.
The evening only became more energetic from there. After a champagne tower kicked off cocktail hour, guests packed the dance floor thanks to DJ Devin Dupree, where one enthusiastic groomsman danced hard enough to rip his pants. As the night came to a close, everyone gathered outside beneath the summer sky for an incredible ten-minute fireworks display that seemed to outdo itself with every passing minute, providing the perfect ending to a wedding weekend full of unforgettable moments.
